The story behind...
"“Thunderstorms of My Youth” is a fan-favorite off the previous album “Staring Down Into Incandescent Cities”. Recently, while swimming and daydreaming about another extended trip soon to come, the floating train of thoughts led me to a sudden idea: what if I tried to vocalize that track in particular? Always true to my instinct, that’s exactly what I did and here is the result. Also a full-circle moment, being a nostalgic and longing track with a prominent feature of an Asian instrument, adding a rich, meditative layer, which also signalizes both things past - and things to come. My love and fascination for Southeast Asia and plans of gathering some writings & impressions while travelling for a possible future endeavour. But the present is the moment and the moment is now: sincerely hope you enjoy this version, which came along so inspiring and so swift, most vocals having first-take emotion and a singalong quality to them."
